Winter

The children have had a great start to the term. We have been exploring the book “Robins Winter Song” The children have learnt that some animals hibernate for Winter and some birds fly south to find warmer climate. Today the children have been very lucky Mother Nature greeted us this morning with lovely frost. The children went on a walk to explore the frost. The children came up with some lovely describing words for how the frost sounded when you stepped on it “it sounds crunchy” “it’s like crisps”. The children noted that there were other sounds they could hear “Birds singing, cars, and children’s voices. As we continued our walk the children noticed the sun had come out and created our shadows as we moved “They are following us” said a child. Well done Nursery amazing learning.
