The Literacy Trust have put together a list of their top mathematical story books. If you click on the website below it leads to links of the stories being read aloud. These stories are aimed at nursery and reception children but could also be enjoyed by key stage one. They have a great repetitive structure that is easy to join in with and helps to develop number recognition, counting and ordering.
- We are so pleased with how this new age of virtual learning is going. It has been a learning curve for all of us and you as parents have definitely risen to the challenge! We are extremely proud of how the children have been engaging with Google classroom and how their learning has continued. The first scheduled live session will be today – Friday (check previuos email for your child’s time). These will be a great way for your child to virtually interact with their classmates and teacher. We look forward to ‘seeing’ them. The small number of keyworker and vulnerable children in school will also join these so will be able to interact with their friends who are learning at home.
