For the past couple of weeks some of the children have been taking part in The RSPB Big School Birdwatch. The children have been conservation scientists and are helping The RSPB track the ups and downs of the population of birds across the country. This afternoon the children went outside to collect their data. The children suggested that they should be quiet and still so that they had the best chance of spotting some birds. The data we collected will be submitted this week, then at a later date the RSPB will share the results of our surveys so we can see how our research is contributing.
- We are so pleased with how this new age of virtual learning is going. It has been a learning curve for all of us and you as parents have definitely risen to the challenge! We are extremely proud of how the children have been engaging with Google classroom and how their learning has continued. The first scheduled live session will be today – Friday (check previuos email for your child’s time). These will be a great way for your child to virtually interact with their classmates and teacher. We look forward to ‘seeing’ them. The small number of keyworker and vulnerable children in school will also join these so will be able to interact with their friends who are learning at home.
