Phased return to school from June 1st

For the attention of parents of Nursery, Reception , Year 1 and 6 children  and for Key Worker Families and children who have been attending school since school closed.

The school is underway planning for the partial re-opening of school from June 1st.  We are following the DfE guidance given to us as well as guidance from Hertfordshire County Council and our Trust.  We really need to know how many pupils will be returning to school from June 1st in order for us to effectively plan and adapt the premises according to the guidance we have to follow.
School and education will look and feel very different for the children that do return to school from June 1st.  There will have to be smaller class sizes – these ’new’ classes will not be allowed to mix with any other children in the school during lesson times or during break times.  The timetable of the school day will have to be altered to accommodate the social distancing and measures we have to put in place.  Children will be required to sit at their own desk/table and the use of shared resources will be kept to an absolute minimum.
We don’t have all the detail currently as some of the measures and arrangements will depend upon the amount of children returning in each year group.
Please complete the Google form (https://forms.gle/93tQG82PhMXrnJpB8 ) as soon as possible and before Monday 18th May.  This will really help us to continue to plan for the partial re-opening of school.
Home learning will continue for those children not eligible or able to return to school.
Thanks for your continued support during this very difficult time.
